Who is trusting Whom??

"Debka Files" has an excellent article concerning US diplomacy and missle defense. The article states and I'm paraphrasing, the U.S. has made concessions, with Russia, on the Europe based missile shield, In exchange for Russia's withdrawal of Nuclear aid to Iran and backing of sactions against them. The announcement, according to Debka was made in Prague by Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates when he proposed a delay in activating the shield. See "Debka Files" dated Wednesday, October 24, 2007 for complete article.

Thanks for the report on what is happening with the IRAN nuclear fiasco. We need to keep ONE eye on IRAN and we need to keep BOTH eyes on what are friends from TURKEY are doing on their border with IRAQ. Things in that area of the world could get OUT of control, we have some serious issues in the area. I do NOT trust our friends from the old Soviet Union. Have a fine MAINE day.

LRB, Thanks for the visit. I agree, seems to me they have renigned on past agreements when they suit their purpose. However it is very easy for Iran to go against Russia too. Keep safe and well.....

Turkey has been making cross border attacks into the kurdish territories for years. They usually are retaliatory strikes. It comes as no big surprise that they are massing, again on the Iraqi border. The Kurds want their country back, not only from Turkey but from Syria, and Iran. They were annexed by Treaty, I believe, Sounds like something the English would do. please don't quote me on that, because I am not sure. I'll research...and post it later. It seems the PKK are urinating against the wall when it comes to causing trouble for Turkey. The Turks won't tolerate much from the PKK. The kurdish population in Iraq are trading with Turkey and the Turks are investing in Northern Iraq, so there is some mutual advantages to just go with the flow here....just my opinion ,,,,I ramble....stay well

I just heard about a rather large cross-border raid by Turkish forces into Northern Iraq ... I hope this isn't true, but then again I can't blame Turkey for it, just like I can't blame Israel.

As I said before, I am not surprised. I would be surprised if they stayed there for any length of time. I'll try to find out whats happening if I can...stay well....
