Why now?

A couple of weeks ago I received an E-Mail from a friend in Florida. I didn't quite understand what it was trying to say other than Public services coupled with grants from the federal government was installing "smart meters" on homes and some people were questioning their use..there were many concerns expressed over the use of these meters, ranging from health to security issues. Also included in the E-Mail was a letter, a person could use to advise their energy company they wanted to opt out using this meter. A few days ago I got a letter from Central Maine Power, they were installing smart meters in my home town. There was no cost to install this smart meter which would send data back to a central location, on command, by a radio signal...If I didn't elect to have this meter installed. I had two other options Option A and B. Option A. the company would install a smart meter without the transmission capability, but would cost $20.00 for initial installation and $10.50 per month additional charge. Option B, I could keep my current meter, but would be charged an initial $40.00fee and $12.00 per month(user fee, I guess?). The meter would be read every two months. ......
The brochure I received with this information, printed by Central Maine Power, stated "smart meters would eliminate 1,400 tons of carbon dioxide emissions because we don't have to drive to your meter to read it."anyway.....My question is.... given the present economic climate, How many more jobs will be lost with the use of this meter?....question ???.Why Now?!!

I visited a blog that had posted on another post I was reading. After reading the post I wanted to post a response and thoought that was was what I had done. Today I opened my blog and discovered a comment. I clicked on the comment and the whole post that was on the other blogspot came up...needless to say I was dumbfounded. I went back to the original site and couldn't find an E-mail address so I came back to this one and went to edit. I then deleted the comment that was listed on my blog. I certainly apologize for anything I might have done wrong, but I am ignorant as to what happened......stay well......

Congress!! when are you going to reign in the EPA

The enviornmental Protection Agency are really flexing their muscles as it relates to our economy. They have issued regulations that will, If what I read is correct, mean the loss of Thousands of jobs. This is outrageous, especially, in this period of massive unemployment, which is still listed as 9.6. I don't see how they can maintain this figure with thousands being added to the roles monthly, but that aside, Congress must act to neutralize the EPA's power . The Congress must act to stop this insanity The EPA is attacking the Coal industry and recently started on the Cement industry. From what I have read in the Blogisphere Their new regulations will cause mine closures and cause cement manufacturing to be outsourced to China. I will quote what I read somewhere concerning these actions and that is "It's like saying," you can't pee in this side of the pool". Congress act now !

Federal takeover of all US waters

It is my understanding that the Federal Government has taken over all waters in the United States including the Great Lakes, inland lakes and coastal waters. Does this mean total control of the fishing industry as well??? where are states rights or are they no longer valid????
I drafted a letter to one of my Senators concerning manditory registration this year and requirement to get a federal fishing license in order to fish in Coastal waters effective next year. I questioned what happened to State controlled waters and as of now I have received no reply.
If I am wrong in my observations someone please someone correct me????!!

I just heard a mention of Republicans and the Obumba Healthcare fiesco. Now, and my hearing isn't the greatest these days, I thought I heard one of the top Rebublicans in Washington talking about not voting to abolish the Healthcare bill. If this is correct they are as we have seen in the past the same as the ones that shoved this mess down our throats anyway. After all this time and all the talk. Now the Republicians are only going to nibble at the sides of the Massive mess and try to make it palitable ??? Wow, the leapard does not change its spots. They still don't get it.....What the heck have we been yelling about all this time???REpeal the Bill,,,,Repeal the Bill,,,,The cost to the individual has not been computed and I wouldn't believe it if it had!!!!I say make them sign a pledge....No new taxes....REpeal Obamacare.....Give the states back their rights......and all the other rights that have been taken away or abridged by this administration and the Congress....To the Congress of the United States....Stop taking or allow to be taken by the current administration our individual rights and stomping on the Constitution. Defund all programs not approved by the people.....have hearings on the czars and the last one who is working for Gietner and the one...., who doesn't even get funded through the congress, but the Fed..... No oversight on any of them...How legal is that????

A few months back my wife was rummaging through some of her old papers of her mothers and found the following poem inside a world map folded into a small pamphlet. I thought what a great way to show what the men of that time period thought about honor and self worth. It was written by Edmond Vance Cook and the poem I have was printed on a small 3X5 paper with a logo of "American YMCA, Paris and it was dated, 1918. The card itself is frayed around the edges and looks well worn....

When I read this poem I thought, How far we have come from that time to this...today, we don't want to be hurt no matter how and today it's OK for men to cry, but back then that was not the mark of a man...he was suppose to grin and bear it. "it doesn't matter if you win or lose, it's how you play the game."
As I mulled over the words in this poem, I thought of the men who might have read it and the time???? It was the Great war,,,The war to end all wars.....WW1 in Paris, France.....They were in the thick of it and here was a poem telling the men, it isn't if you die, it's how you do it that counts.....Wow!!

I guess It's been long enough and the SCANDAL of "Global Warming" has died down enough. From what I have been reading, a study has been completed on the Global Warming scandal by an "independent panel" I for one do not believe the science is settled. our senators are busy,busy, in trying to double or perhaps triple our heating oil, gas and electric bills.
The only thing I can say about this mess is evidently much, much money is being injected into getting to get this mess,,,Climate change and Carbon Taxes and Carbon Credits etc: passed. All in the name of Clean Air or clear air or whatever....... First it was the Cap and Tax and now the new one, Tax and Dividend legislation. One being touted by 3 senators, and the other by two other senators. The latter is reported in "the Hill" Titled "New analysis touts Cantwell-Collins Climate Bill" by Ben German, dated 4-12-10. You be the judge...Maybe, if more controlled analysis was done on these subjects with indisputable evidence of what was actually happening and it was man made, perhaps more people would be accepting the studies????
One thing is certain....If this legislation is passed all charges placed on businesses will be passed on to me the consumer and I don't care how you sugar coat it congress, it will paralize the economy and people will be chosing between heat and food..

Is the handwriting is on the wall. Is Socialized medicine coming to your town soon? Is It only a matter of time? Maine is receiving in the form of a grant, $6,599,401.00 from the Federal Government as stated by Senator Collins Newsletter of Feb 12, 2010,
The newsletters from both Senator Snow and Senator Collins carries the announcement of the grant. Neither Senator express concern about the new system in their newletters. I don't know much about the installation of this new "Health Information Exchange system", but it doesn't sound like anything I can relate to...I have concerns about individual privacy and confidentiality. To me, the name of the new system in itself, does not instill confidence as it relates to privacy or confidentiality. For more information on this system one can contact the senators from Maine on the web and request a copy of their newletter dated Feb 12, 2010.

Although, I don't know any particulars...I have heard politicians voice concern about the attack on Tri-Care for the military. Many years ago as part of their recrutment advertising, Military recruters stressed the value of chosing the military as a career.
It was stated continually that if you chose the path of a military career after 20 years of active service one could retire with full medical for himself/herselfand his spouse, for the remainder of their lives. That benefit and a portion of their pay based on the years of service past 20 years and full access to post/base exchanges and commisaries..... It was excellent for many years, with unrestrained access to medical facilities on the nearest base and their facilities. If one lived within 50 miles from a base that is, if one was further away they had a backup plan known as Champus which paid up to 80% of a medical bill at any medical facility who accepted Champus payment. Then came the BRAC commissions to close military bases throughout the United States Some health services near these bases were contracted to civilian agencies, and payment was made to for both you and your spouse. This was called Tricare. Congress had decided that the retired people would now pay for this promised FREE benefit package for their militay service. If one was under 65 years of age, payment was made to the government to have these services. I don't have the amount paid for this service, but After 65 years, one had to pick up medicare, but he could not use medicare, it must be subscribed to in order to continue Tri-care. The same applied to his spouse. The payment previouly paid was waived...(or not collected by the government)..Now if one was lucky enough to be near a militay base and was accepted by that hospital or dispensary as a patient, they could use that facility. ..... I don't know if they still had to apply for medicare in order to have access?or even if that option is still open to them??
Now as I stated before, I'm hearing bad rumors about the military being targeted by the Congress critters again. Any charge is a slap in the face to all militay and their families) All through this New Health Care Bill, What's new with these masters...... I don't know why I am surprised they started deluting military benefits years ago and will continue long after I'm gone...All the while spouting how they support the militay....YEAAA Real Support..........

I don't quite know what or why this is happening, but my daughter who was working two jobs to make ends meet until her husband got Social Security Disability payments. It took over two years of trying with an incurable degenerative disease which effects the nerves in his hands and feet, similar to neuropathy. He has little to no feeling in his hands and feet and by trade he is an electician. It took three refusals and an attorney to finally get approved as disabled....Anyway that's not the reason for this post.
Last week, my daughter who has health insurance for the family through her employer.was informed that the insurance premium was being increased for next year. It will be increasing by $500.00 a month making the total payment of $1200.00 a month just to cover medical expenses for the three of them. With the raise in payments she will now bring home about 700.00.
This must have something to do with the scare in the insurance industry about the upcoming vote on National Health Care. Now I don't know if this insurance company is for the Socialized Medicine or not but it sure is making this family look at the possiblily of quiting a job to be eligible for medical assistance from the State. This is an increase of almost 50% and is an outrage. Her husband cannot get Medicare because he has not been disabled by their computation for 24 months. I will be checking with the state licensing bureau about the legality of such an increase, but it's probably within their charter.....I also heard of other companies doing similar increases. where is the logic in this move to increase premiums so drastically .....just saying.....

Yesterday, I was checking on a medical procedure being completed on my lovely wife at my primary physicians office to be sure the paperwork was completed prior to her discharge. It was.....While there I thought I would check on whether or not they had the H1N1 vaccine.. They had some, but I was informed I could not have it because I was too old. I'm 74. It seems that only people who have medical problems from 25 through 64 are covered by order of the CDC and the State Health Officials, or so I was informed...(Even though I have a disease called COPD I do not qualify because I'm too old and if I do get it, I probably won't make it).....within this last week, I have been informed by a couple of people that the Newspapers have had articles stating that. They mis calculated, yes....if seniors get this disease it hits them very hard, but I guess we are expendable......I told a few of my friends about the experience and they couldn't believe it.....Believe it folks... I called state and they confirmed that indeed that is the way it is now but they are working to get it down just keep checking with my primary physician. I advised that if I got the disease it wouldn't do me much good to be checking with a doctor because it would probably be too late to care. I spoke to another friend and she jokingly said "Oh well, you've had a good life." followed up by "You've got to be kidding me?" evidently, they hadn't heard the news before this ....Of course we haven't heard of rationing healthcare anywhere?? have we????

Seems everything we hear about lately are the results of Opinion surveys by various sources. Although I haven't heard much about this subject,and I might be just a conspiracy nut!!! But,,,,,I was talking to a relative of mine a couple of days ago. She is a die hard Democrat from the old school and I mean Old School...She really thinks the Democratic Party hasn't changed since her high school days, FDR and Social Security etc.. She was really was beside herself because someone had sent her a survey addressed to a Republican, to complete and return, giving her opinion on current events,,,Healthcare etc.... She stated she did not know where it came from, but completed the survey answering the questions as she, a democrat felt following the democratic talking points ie...love government healthcare etc...and sent it back...She thought it was really a joke...I being the cautious one, question where this survey came from and being sent to a staunch Democrat,as though she was a Republican Me thinks that if many of these were sent to the wrong people it would really mess up any survey and for what purpose?????.......Just a thought.....

It has been many months since I have posted because I have been completely obsorbed with the changes we have been exposed to since "the one" has occupied the highest office in this land that I love.....My question to Health and Human Services Czar!! Where are the shots we were told would be readily available in October??? I mean we were going to have plenty,,,enough to sent overseas,,,REally,,,, Recently, I heard of medical emergencies in a couple of states. Locally, schools are beginning to close.....No serum available,,,,even for regular flu shots????? I have read that we in America only have one company making the serum and three others overseas.... "People are dying and the Health department can only estimate how many people have the disease.....ESTIMATE....Who is keeping track of this epidemic??????How many cases do we have?????Where are they?????The information I have received is Sneeze in your sleave and if you have flu like symptoms stay home. That's really great,,,how about hiring more companies to make the serum....... A preview of Government run healthcare?????God help us!!

Bring our Troops Home!!

Never in my lifetime would I ever have thought it possible they would initiate policies for our military that could and very possibly would kill our troops in harms way. It is my understanding that troops now must read "Miranda Rights" to the enemy upon capture. Have we lost our minds??? Bottom line, and I love the way politicians talk around this subject, they are so subjective. Policies of this magnatitude will kill our military before they know what hit them. Also I would hope the Department of Defense will be holding manditory classes for every recrut on what are the remifications of discharging a weapon even in your own defense on the battlefield and all the other legal ramifications of protecting America. Do they take an interpreter with on the battlefield?? Or perhaps a lawyer in one pocket and a civilian criminal law book in the other? UCMJ? what is that? Are we still using that? I'm sure we still have "Rules of Engagement", but we won't go there.

It is high time that we bring our troops home. We cannot protect them from ourselves and they cannot be placed in a situation where everything they do can lead to undetermined conclusions!!!!...If indeed this latest is true?? Bring them home. We can no longer be, the world policeman.

I am not a conspiracy nut, but for quite some time I have not had good feelings about what is happening in the field of Politics. It seems like our elected officials are not listening to their constituents for no apparent reason other than they will not even respond to quaries. The Federal Government has taken control of businesses and dictating policies Firing CEO's and dictaing salaries to employees of these companies....Many, many changes have been instituted and according to the Glen Beck program, I believe, 14 different czars have been created by the Exective Branch of Government. The most recent being an internet czar. His duties,,,,,I do not know, but I do know that a short time ago a bill was entered by a Democrat and Olympia Snow, Republican, I don't know its content, but the way things are happening I think I am becoming gunshy. The bill might be still in committee? Just saying????

Recently I read an article from Pravda Ru, A Russian Newspaper written in English, referring to America as being well on its way to "Marxism". I'm not saying I agree with everything that is contained in this article, but much seems to hit the Nail.........

Also most recently, I read a few articles on Michelle Malkin about Acorn. Michelle gives reference to another site that one might enjoy about this subject. It is posted on the "Capital Research Center", "Foundation Watch"site. The title is "Acorn: Who funds the Weather Underground's little brother?" by Matthew Vodum. This article is an eye opener, if it hasn't been removed!!

This really blows my mind. Just when we think it couldn't get worse. It smashes you streight in the face. First they tried the Fairness Doctrine,,,That didn't go over so good.....NOW!!! Look Whats coming down the pike.....Could this be happening in the Good old US of A..../?????? Well People,,,,,"Our Senators" are trying another route!!!!!
First off,Lets look at who these people are....These are the men and women who were duly elected to represent us, the people' of this once,United States of America, They take an oath, to uphold and defend United States Constitution." What in God's name is happening!! I don't know anymore. Two Senate Bills ,S773 and S778, sponsored by (D)Senator Rockefeller and co-sponsored by (R)Senator Snow,among others and introducted in the Senate The bills create a new department and head, under the Exectutive Branch of Government...The Cybersecurity Act of 2009, As I understand it,,,this bill will allow people to tap into any on-line internet communications without a warrant . I'm not that apted at gleaning the total ramifications of a bill, but......

I thought well, they can't go much further without someone saying, enough! --- I guess we will be waiting quite some time!! --- When is someone going to challange the constitutionality of these questionable moves by the administration that confront us daily...and I mean daily....It really doesn't seem to matter , as it appears our rights are being ripped apart. People are only saying "It could help us out of our present situation", not looking further than their noses, that we could be losing our rights. Now the Government wants to taking over private businesses from individual citizens If it appears they can become insolvent, but, sigh, this is so they won't go bankrupt....Big Brother is here to help!!,,Now that's "Change" one can believe in. I don't think they have been given that authority yet, but Paulson got just about anything he wanted from Bush including Some questionable types of Financing for America.....Anyway..... Speaking of bankrupt.....who will be buying these distressed properties from AIG?????? poor people who need housing and can't afford to pay the going rate??????I don't think sooooooooo!!!! try big business, who will make a huge profit..I wonder if that information will be released to the general public...., Maybe Congress can tax them 90% on the profits.......just joshing!!!

Is this the end of the America we know and love? from what I have read and heard about this whole mess this is what I think has happened, the Health Care package that was slipped into this Stimulus package will be law as soon as it reaches the president and is signed. How will this one item affect your individual life and I am talking all Americans (unless the elite Americans have been exempted) I challange all Americans to read the portions of this bill containing the infringements on and removal of your individual rights and freedom of choice as it relates to one of your most cherished freedoms Your individual HEALTH CARE . BUT.... For the WELFARE of the MASSES this is good..... Think about it........"HOW IRONIC" Everyone spouts about infrigement on, Our Civil Rights,,,Individual rights,,,,,Rights for this and rights for that,,,,ENTITLEMENTS We have a right to have the government take care of us.....
I'll say this about that.....One of our most individual rights; The right to direct the care of one's own body!!,Gone with the stroke of a pen. No more second opinions,,,Big Brother will take care of that..... and we watched it happen and saw the glee on their faces as they slid into the abyss voting to deprive the individual,,,which includes the their children and their grandchildren, of their right to have a say over their own bodies..........

New Hampshire has it right?

As I was traveling in New Hampshire a couple of days ago, I was listening to the radio and heard a commentator talking to a State Representative who had submitted a Continuing Resolution to the New Hampshire House concerning the States rights and the Constitution. Seems this Resolution details what the state should do if the Federal Government should try to overstep their bounds more than they already have. Not that it is anything binding, but,,,,, It seems that there are about 20 states that have already done something similar ? Socialized medicine in the Stimulas Bill????

It appears that the man who didn't get the position of Health czar had written a book and advised in the book that to get started with Socialized Medicine, Everyone's Health Record should be recorded in a Federal Computer. This is only the beginning of what is contained in this package concerning your Health and your doctor. The best way to do it and get it passed was to slip the whole thing into a spending bill. That way it wouldn't be taken up and debated They have done it....The next step in Nationalization of your health. After listening to Glen Beck last night and to a guest he has on, I am very concerned over what has been done to every individual in this country. Nationalized Health Care??????There is indeed much to worry about especially if one is retire as myself. I have "thank God" health care as part of my retirement package, but this bill..I guess negates any and all of my medical, I don't know, but......It scares the He.. out of me and mine.....What I gather from all this mess is, they want to computorize everyones medical records. Not only do they want to record your health record, they will do the approving of any medical procedure.They also will determine whether or not the doctor is doing what he should be doing. I also have read , that we all get old so get use to it and suck it up.....They will determine what medical procedures are best for the individual. See Canada's Socialized Medicine or England This will give some indication as to what I am referring. It is my understanding England was used as a model.. I would advise everyone who is afraid of Socialized Medicine to contact their representative for the removal of anything to do with Healthcare located in the Bill...If this passes next the government will decide when to pull the plug on your life...... I contacted my Senators about the stimulis package, but to no avail....They voted the way they wanted.........I'll write them again about this item slipped into the package, but I doubt if I'll even get a reply......But Please contact your Reps and senators about this travesty.!!!!!

I believe it was either the late last spring or fall a representative of the United States Census Bureau came by and introduced herself to me advising who she was and that she had a survey she would like to go over with me. I answered the questions to the best of my ability. We met again and more questions were asked and questions to confirm what had been answered before was still relevant. Before leaving she said we had to meet once more and would I be available during the summer. I advised I was leaving for camp in the spring and would be back and forth throughout the summer......While at camp I received another call from the Census Taker to confirm what had transpired before and updated as needed. I believe a supervisor called to confirm that I had been contacted and how long I had talked to the first census taker etc..etc...

A couple of days ago, I received another call from the Census Bureau, This Taker asked me to confirm some of the information I had been asked previously and then started asking questions concerning my employment or unemployment,...If I was working or wanted work,,,Did I have a disability to prevent me from working.....my income and where it came from Social Security Income, Interest payments, Veteran Administration Disability payments, Heath Insurance, IRA's or other assets and other personal information...Needless to say by this time,because my wife had all this information readily available for income tax time, that I could answer these questions. I finally asked if they did not have access to this information elsewhere, (knowing they were a government agency.) She said no, nor do they release information to anyone else and I then said why they needed all this information, I don't remember what she said other than I could complete it on line If I was not comfortable doing it on the phone. because of the questions I was fairly sure I was talking to a government employee so I continued, but toward the end of the survey I was really uncomfortable because I felt they were infriging on my right to privacy. I didn't mind the first round of questions, but this was reallly the nitty gritty and I was not comfortable. I don't mind if they say is your income between 50,000 to 75,000 or whatever, but to ask weekly amount, monthly amount or yearly amount is a little to cut and dried for me. Well, I got concerned after giving all this information over the phone and called telephone information with the telephone number. They said they could not give me the information because it was an 877 number and that was a toll free number....What that means I don't know, so I went on line and sure enough the Census Bureau gets all this information and much much more. Accoriding to on line information we are obligated to give the information they request. What kind of 1984 country do we live in???? This is a picture of the Ice Storm in New Hampshire last thursday night. My son gave me this image and put it up for me. I didn't know how...I'm quite limited when it comes to inputing images....
We lost power early Friday morning around 3:00AM and got it back around 5:00PM. Where this picture was taken, the people just got back their power this afternoon late. Power lines were down throughout the state, as well as the Maine coastline. I was lucky, Although, my basement flooded with about 2 inches of water because my emergency generator broke and I didn't have a spare. By the time I got it fixed, the power was back on. I tried to get a replacement, but most all the stores were closed and by the time I found a store, it was late afternoon and I just ordered a replacement generator to be delivered in the evening. On my return home, I stopped to pick up my repaired generator and brought it back for installation. Shortly thereafter, the power came back on, the phone which had also been out came on and the store called informing me my new generator was in.. I picked it up to be used as a spare in case..Now my son wants the one I had repaired..So goes a day in a life........

What is a SOFA, Status of Forces Agreement? According to Wikipedia, It is an agreement between a country and a foreign nation stationing military forces in that country. That is the agreement that currently is being negotiated between The United States and the Iraqi Government.

I am certainly not privy to the workings of our government or any other government, but as with everything that we have initiated in Iraq. Our military seems to be getting the Sh.. end of the stick again.

I recently was looking at the bottom of the screen on Fox a couple of days ago and noticed that a draft SOFA has been completed for our military remaining in Iraq. Now some people might think that this treaty is a great instrument, but I for one do not think it is the best interest of our forces being stationed there against their will in many instances.

The part that seems to stick in my craw is our military will be tried by an Iraqi Civilian Court for offenses committed outside a military base unless it is in the line of duty.

Good God people. We have been and are still in a war in that country. People get killed in a war and we always have "collateral damage. One does not just wrap it up as being a casualty of war. They hold grudges. All one has to do to see what grudges can amass between the Sunni and Shia. They are currently in the process of ridding the country of Christians. How much more of an example do we need to terminate this outrageous process.

A justice will not administer justice as we see it especially if his relatives or friends have been killed or maimed by our forces. Their laws are not the same nor justice the same as it is administered by our system. my nephew was in Saudi Arabia and hit a pedistrian while driving on a very narrow road. He was jailed and stayed there for over a year while justice worked.

I have heard horror stories which our State Department is fully aware of concerning middle eastern justice and Americans caught up in it. I say no to our Militry being made available to Middle East Justice. One such story is if you are taking a taxi and the driver hits a pedistrian, throw the money in the seat and run because it is your fault. If you hadn't hired the taxi it wouldn't have been there and the accident wouldn't have happened. I'm not saying that is the case in Iraq but I doubt if its Blackstones'definition of law.

I say NO! to any agreement whereby our military is subjected to a foreign nations laws when we are stationed there for their protection and where we have given our most precious possessions, our young men and women to die for their right to have their own courts and not killed at will by their own people....

I was sitting watching the morgage crisis unfold and across the screen come a statement that gas is $3.00 average price nationally. Well, I guess as one of the guests on Fox stated about the bottom dropping out of the oil crisis, a few days ago. As long as this bailout is not signed the cost of oil will drop. I would say this is good news, but what do I know? I do know that this experiment with Social Engineeering is a failure unless we do reallocate our money to fix the problem. How can anyone in their right mind say buy it. you'll like it. Makes no difference if you can't afford it. Sam will make it right. The leaders are still saying look people are losing their home. We should give them money so they will not lose their home. This is still a no brainer. Why do we give money to a problem that will not right itself. If one cannot afford a morgage payment, which they know they can't who is helping whom??? Back to the Oil...Seems like the cost of gas will continue to go down. How will this downward spiril effect this crisis??? If at all. No one is saying..

And I ask you. What exactly is happening and what are the repercussions??? I have been watching the news all day from CNN, Fox and local news programs. I have heard, Wow! This is great we are finally making sense and listening to the people. Others are saying this is Crisis and no one is doing anything. Why don't they pass this bill. I heard one person saying this was great because it will make the cost of oil to plummet. It already dropped $10.00 and it will continue to drop as long as the bailout isn't signed. Once it is the cost will again skyrocket. Others are saying people have lost their 401K's . Many people have lost everything. All Democratic Representatives who voted for the bill are blaming the Republicans for its demise. I think they should be looking at their own house and see who voted for and who voted against. It was very visible that many Democrats voted against the bill.
The powers that be should be having hearings and get people who know what to do to at least have a voice in what should be done, if anything.
"There is more than one way to skin a cat" The average individual does not know what happened and how to get us out of it and I dare say many in congress are part of the unknowing.
Where this ends I don't know, but I do know the people who were aware and got us into this mess sure as heck shouldn't be part of the solution. How can they now stand up and point fingers elsewhere and wail "We should be signing this bailout So goes politics. I think what was done today, was in our best interest and should be hail as a victory for the taxpayer because to do so without hearings is irresponsible. Now perhaps we can sit down and look at who caused this and what is the best way to address it, with the right accountants to look at the problems and submit solutions, Now is the time to come together as Americans not Republican nor Democrat nor Independents,but Americans and work toward an acceptable solution to this crisis and initiate solutions and also safeguards against individuals who cannot afford housing and other assets to be disapproved for such. I'm not an economics major, but for years I have looked at the cost of real estate and say, "Wow! I cannot undrstatnd how these families can get financed for the soaring cost of these houses..I certainly can't. Evidently, they coudn't either.

I have long maintained the Constitution speaks of freedom Of religion not From religion and there is no separation. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights.... This is paraphrased because I do not have a copy of it handy.....anyway I think you get where I am coming from. The founders did not separate God from government, He was very much a part of it...If allowed to stand this could open many doors for our country. As it is written when God closes a door he usually opens another one, He was just a little longer opening this one, but what is time, but a twinkling of an eye to Him.....One thing that these institutions of higher learning should be looking at, is when the government gives something they always want something in return. I have addressed this problem in the past and again,,,I ask when will our elected ones get the message that we need lower FUEL prices before we start seeing people freeze or surcumb to a disease because they can't afford to pay for the prescription to cure or maintain their health. One of our Maine Senators in her advertisement for reelection says we need to come together as a nation.... She offers no solution to our current crisis on energy.... I say get rid of all of them who do not answer to the will of the people. They certainly are all for changing and enacting new laws to appease certain groups who feather their nests,and to come together to force legislation on the states to pass laws they dont particularly agree with by threatening to withhold funds, ie....seatbelt manditory or we withhold highway funds. Speed limit 55 miles per hour.... I could go on indefinately, but you get the idea.
When it comes to drilling and using technology to extract oil from shales etc. Nothing can get through....This is crapola...
Now they are taking a recess,,,,for what????? The most significant problem facing Americans is high energy cost and that has not being addressed....If they go into recess, I call on the President to recall these "Servents of the People" to come back into session and attend to the peoples business. That is,to allow a vote on the energy bill. As it stands right now I pay almost half of my Social Security monthly check on a budget plan for fuel oil, so I won't freeze this winter. My niece says,"People will have to adjust." I say "adjust what?" We have to eat, take our medication and pay our outrageously high heating and gas bills. I have stated in the past and I will say it again. The Democrats of the past were all about helping the Poor of this nation. They have lost their way Now they only think of redistribution of wealth but giving themselves pay raises. The state of Maine has already said there is only so much they can do to help its residents this winter. It gets cold up here and our congress has lost their way...All of the people are not their problem, only certain groups are being heard and the response is against the majority. "When in the course of Human events, it becomes necessary......." and the beat goes on????? How far will the American people allow this to continue until they react.
I for one will reflect it in my vote and hope the majority of responsible citizens do the same. I ramble....stay well...

Well, it's back down East again. This time for a bout 3 weeks. The children will be coming up in shifts. Only one family for the 4th of July dinner we always host. That's one of my immediate family.. The extended family, what we have left will be there except for my sister and brother...Cousins,,,,nieces and nephews.....My Aunts and Uncles are all gone....Not to extended anymore....after third cousins...Ive lost contact. Also, I hope the land issue can be settled once and for all.....see you when I get back....

New Law Making Branch of Government?

The United States of America has a NEW Law Making Branch of Government. I say new but it really isn't. The SCOTUS has taken on a new role. They now establish laws that apply to alien combatants outside our nation bringing them under the protection of our Constitution. That is really presumptous of them to give an enemy of the United States protection under our Constitution. 5 of the 9 justices have taken it upon themselves to create new laws to prove that the Constitution is a living document and hence can be added to or taken from as the case dictates., Does this really fall within their perview? They have taken from the president, his authority as Commander and Chief of the Armed Forces and turned it over to the Courts in a time of war. (Stupid me!, this is not a war,people are being killed and The battlefield has become a Court of law) but, we are not at war. This, like Vietnam, is a police action, but are we not overstepping just a bit into the international arena? What is this Court thinking ??
Read the descent from Justices Scilia and Roberts, they certainly tell it like it is, and lay out some of the ramifications of their brothers latest action. God help our military!! the courts certainly will not.
Talk about having oversight, the foxes are in the chicken house, Not to worry, soon there will be no chickens left to raise red flags, only white ones and that won't be the chickens. It will be the foxes.

It seems they are killing police south of the border and Our loving representatives want to clean up Mexico, and the rest of Central America. As if not enough of our money is going south already. Now lets subsidize Mexico with no followup on the money....Of course everything will be OK, because they said so.....In watching the Legislature today I heard one decenting cry for not writing a blank check, If we indeed want to help keep it here. Another one said if ones neighbors house was on fire wouldn't we help... Again,,,I don't get it If we want Border security then secure our side of the border. Has anyone of these congesscritters gone to Mexico City lately,,,,You had better go with someone who knows the ropes, or you might not make it back. It is corruption......Everything is payola. A relative of mine went to Mexico City the car he was riding in was stopped by police. The driver gave the policeman about 50.00 dollars and when they got where they were going the driver said he had to pay 100.00 Dollars. and that's the way it went. Now send 1.5 Billion and see where it get us. Congress you want to spend that money do it on this side of the border....

I am leaving to open my camp and enjoy the sunshine overlooking Union River Bay for the weekend and possibly longer depending on circumstances. From this angle it seems that nothing will be changing politically for a time....I did read something about the North American Union raising its ugly head again and other rumors of impending doom and emergency meetings of the House of Representatives etc..., but I haven't checked it out. The net that does authentication of the inforrmation have been contacted by the person sending me the E-Mail and by the time I am back he should have an answer either true, false or no information.......I'll be checking in periodically.......

Thursday, I believe it was, someone asked Senator McCain about drilling in Alaska. His answer was not at all what one would expect from a man who is suppose to represent all America. Special Interest seem have put blinders on our Republican candidate. Who is he representing when he likened drilling in the Alaskan Wilderness to drilling in a National park ie: Yellowstone. To me it still wouldn't matter. We are like the lemmings heading for the precipice. It looks like none of our representatives are going to help us. I can remember during WWII, In the U.S. gas was rationed and in short supply, as was many other staples. Germany on the other hand, kept its war machine going with an artificial gas, much like the South African today. We cannot manufacture this product because of restrictions placed on the industry by our elected officials. It is a derivitive of coal, of which we have much, I heard a figure of something, like 200 Billion barrels. Glen Beck had a governor on his TV program the other night. The Governor stated there was one company who was manufacturing this product. Originally, there were 200 planned, but that plan went by the wayside. I believe the cost to put this product on the market was $50.00 a barrel. (not positive on the cost)
When are the citizens of this great nation going to demand representation from those sworn to do so? I can remember the term "coal oil", but that was where it ends. I'll look it up and do an update.....Just rambling and wondering when America is going to hold those accountable, to account????? One of the biggest problems is prices are increasing and I am on a fixed income, that is not increasing. McCain has his gas given to him in Washington, I wonder if he ever stops a normal gas station???????

I have been at a loss as to how to comment on this situation. It reminds me of a exercise we had in a training session once many years ago..... I can't remember the exact senario, but the trauma is the same. Close your eyes and picture yourself as a 5 year old child sleeping in your own bed with your brothers and sisters also asleep in their beds. It is the middle of the night; All of a sudden, you are startled out of your sleep by loud noises. strangers were taking you out of your bed, away from everything you knew. You are placed in a car and driven to a place where a woman was telling this stranger and others, you can no longer go home, your brother and sisters can't come with you because there is not enough room where you are going for everyone. You are then taken by this stranger to the house of another stranger and told this is your foster home and this is where your are going to be living for a while. In a home that you don't know, with a family you don't know. you have no idea where the rest of your family is, and when or if, you will ever see them again..You say, "What have I done?"..... now open your eyes.....This could be what a child experiences when he/she is taken from their home and ordered placed by the courts..You will note, I said "by the Courts" In most states Child and Family Services cannot remove a child from a home on their own. In many states,however, a policeman, if he feels the child is in eminent danger can put the child under protective custody,to be followed up by a Courts Order. But in general the child is ordered placed by a Courts order after a hearing.
The removal of a child from its home, should never be taken lightly. I cannot speak to the Child Welfare Laws from the State of Texas, but the evidence given to a judge must have been overwhelming to order the removal of 400 plus children on grounds of all of them being abused. We will not know what transpires at the court because these are juvenile proceedings closed to the public. In most States, juvenile abuse/neglect cases are proven by a proponderance of the evidence, not beyond a reasonable doubt.....I ramble....stay well...

The status of Al Quida in Pakistan and similar question outside their area of responsibility. Smart those Socialist.!! As everyone knows they, the Socialist, support the troops, Well, if they support the troops, I don't think we need any more enemies, Of course Pelosi would not see the Pro-troop, Veterans who are traveling the country now. But, she supports the troops by passing bills to benefit the veterans when they come back. Yea, right, She just won't talk to them, but she will pass bills to help them. (What a joke). If it wasn't so pathetic it would be comical. This party crap is going much too far to the detriment of the United, I say again United States. We are no longer United as a nation. They have done an outstanding job of National Separation. The Socialist uh Democrats want Uncle to enter into all aspects of your individual lives. They are continuing to spout the same retoric as Osama Bin laden. In his last, he advised that this war would bankrupt America and the Socialist are propagating his propaganda through their verbal displays current being acted out at the hearings in Washington.
I think what bothers me the most is, they believe this crap they continue to spew. The young votes also are buying into this, because they have been so left wing indoctrinated by their public school propaganderist, they can no longer think for themselves. Individual thought is a word of the past. One cannot go against the masses. The subject was "Liberation Theology". according to the post it came by way of Hot Air and The thesis was written in the 1980s, by the Pope when he was a Cardinal. On March 5 2008, eight young men were murdered at Yeshivat Haravin in Jerulalem by a Palestinian gunman at point blank range, spraying the students with automatic fire. So, I understand. Why???? I do not know. I do know we are giving millions of US taxpayer dollars to the Palestinian Authority, Whose residents were dancing in the streets over this massacre and whose leader has declared this murderer, a martyr. Way to Go US for the monitary support. Maybe they can buy more rockets in Iran to lobe into Israel killing more innocent civilians...(Sak on) OH!!!they won't do that they want to recognize Israel and become a state living peacefully along side their Israele brothers.(sak off). I was reading a comment on "Iraq The Model" today and one of the comments compared what was happening in Gaza to the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorah. Lot Asking the angel of the Lord, if I can find but 10 good, God fearing people will you spare the ciies and their inhabitants???? and .......They were destroyed.......... A couple of days ago I read an post on "PajamasMedia" blog Written by a Mr. Eugenides titled "Turkey votes to lift Ban on Headscarf". It has caused an uproar so I hear, among the people. I do not know when this restriction was placed in the Constitution or made law, but I can only imagine that it was a part of the process that followed what Attiturk was trying to accomplish throughout his nation with the outlawing of the Fez, the vail and multiple marriages. Could be wrong, but...He also made a secular nation with religion being removed from government. Now unless the military exerts its pressure to defend the constitution and keep the country secular,???I was really disappointed at the murder of the two publishers recently, where the victims were multilated. This added to the present course leads me to feel this is the start of a long decline after years of progress to enter the modern world, but if that is what the majority of Turks want, It is their country, and they have to live with the results.....I ramble....stay well...

I along with all who read it was really taken back by the whole notion of our country giving Mexico aid to help secure their southern border,,,,,I said, Their southern border. In phase I $550 million has already been appropriated, according to the post...You have to read the whole thing to get what the significance of the post really does and it has been agreed to by our administration. The title of the initiative is "the Merida Initiative". Now will someone start to look southward to see what is transpiring. We can't build a wall, but we can help Mexico improve their security situation....By the way has anyone looked at the graft and paybacks in Mexico lately.Hummmmm where will that funding go........Lots of luck....It's good to know someone is watching our backs, while our southern border is being penerated daily by Mexico's army and illegals. I went to "Michelle Malkins Blog" and read post concerning McCain's National Director of Hispanic Outreach, Dr. Juan Hernandez. It seems he holds duel Citizen, Mexican and American. He has said in the past when referring to Hispanics, according to the post, "all gererations will think Mexico First." "I want them all to think Mexico first." Nice....I thought Mc Cain learned from what he said about What the American people wanted. Well,,,He didn't learn, as far as I am concerned. Fred Thompson has withdrawn frome the Presidential Race.....I had a feeling this was going to be the case, as I have read a little here and a little there about what his campaign workers were not doing, and that they should be doing and weren't. Then to top it off I got a request to do some telephone canvassing the day of the primary in SC. I got the message loud and clear, but I wouldn't allow myself to come out and say so... I did complete a survey on Hulett, I believe that's how you spell it.....Anyway, It was a survey if Thompson should throw in the towel and be placed on the McCain ticket would I vote for him.. The ansere is a big NO. Unless the has been leading us down the garden path. I can not see his values comparable with McCain's. A person can compromise on most anything, except his morals and values. That is my take......back tracking maybe if Romney would take him in and drop his Universal Health Plan, I could be listening.....

I was reading about a month ago when all the indicators were positive and the media was spouting gloom and doom. I read one article at that time, that if we have a recession one can blame the media.. Well,maybe it is here?? It looks like the administration is trying to do its part in reducing the effects of one. Isn't it when everyone starts worring about it and stops spending, That was what I have been told, so if the general population is told over and over, day after day that we are going into a recession, we get scared, even though employment is about 5% which is the lower end of normal 5=6%,This is a normal unemployment rate, anyway, the message has sunk in and that is where we are today. Home sales have declined, the government stepped in. I dont know how that has affected the housing market, but....The president has developed a stimulus package as a temporary measure to stimulate the economy. It will range from between 100 to 150 Billion. It will come in the form of an income tax rebate to those paying taxes, although the democrats want to include those not making enough to pay any taxes to be included in the rebate,which is not part of the president's package, so they'll compromise somewhere. It is also to include tax breaks for businesses. Let us hope it does what it did in 01.......And the media sees some "light at the end of the tunnel" I ramble.........

That is the question one must consider when reading a blog posting on "Powerline" blog. The article in question,was titled "An Odd and unhelpful Thing" and written by Peter Weber a former Duputy Assistant to the President and Director of Stratic Initiatives. It reinforces what I have either blogs or commented about for quite some time and that is when land is taken in conquest, isn't that considered spoils of war and kept by the invading force???? If indeed that is the case why is land previously won in a war against Israel now considered occupied lands and not land that was won by Israel in a war that they won? 90% of which has already been ceeded back to the countries that went to war against Israel. It seems that Our president made a statement concering occupied lands while in Israel, which, according to Peter Weber was Odd and unhelpful. My question about this whole occupation thing is, Why do we and the rest of the world consider this occupied territory??? Do we consider Texas as occupied? Its over in New Hampshire and I was surprised. I had no idea who would come in where. On Tuesday, I went to my COPD therapy class and found out I was in a hive of Democrats. That didn't set too well, because I am not one to sit by and not comment at what I see politically. After I found out they were all democrats, I had second thoughts and just listened. Not much meat there...The only comment I made was something about nothing of substance there. later on I listened to what Obama had to say and, it had NO! NO Substance....He said nothing. Of course Hillary had her close encounter with emotion, Well Almost. At least she made sense with her soundbites, but whose going to pay for all this Health Care?? and other give away projects. Sounds good, but..... So enough ranting.....New Hampshire has spoken and Senator Clinton was the Democrats choice and Senator John McCain was the choice of the Republicans. Fred is still in there. He came in at 1% of the vote, but He's still fighting and currently working in South Carolina. He did an outstanding interview on Fox, but I felt a strain in the air, not with Fred, but with some of the questions, could be wrong, but,,,,,
As I was pondering over the primaries, and the media coverage of the events, Something kept bothering me.....They reported on many of the news sites about Mitt's money and how he will be able to spend much more on advertising than some of the other candidates, possibly, using his own money, I thought Well, it didn't help him in New Hampshire, but Wow! the name of the game is exposure, exposure, exposure....Hopefully, the people will smell the coffee.....I ramble....stay well.....

As I have stated before on my remarks on blogs stating preferences for our Presidential Primary. I have remained with my primary pick. Fred Thompson. I feel he is sincere when speaking to the issures facing America and He is a strict constitutionist. We have for too long drifted as a nation from our roots. Our fundimental rights as put forth by our forefathers. This might seem like old hat, but I personally agree with his assessments not just in fundimental Federalism. I do not find it amusing that a Supreme Court Justice will venture into International Court decisions rather that going where he/she should go to the Constitution and do what he/she is hired to do. That is to interpret the U.S. Constitution as it relates to the case in question.
Finally, a Representitive has come out in Support of my choice. GOP Rep Steve King of Iowa. In his statement of endorcement. Washington has done it again, they have released a report critical of the CIA's handling of taped interrogations. I say good for them.....It is a wonder the whole classified dossier wasn't released to the News media by a WISTLEBLOWER, prior to this. Many classified programs and material has been given to the MSM over the past few years, causing many breaches of security. If the Security Agencies were worth their salt they would have have many public procecutions over these breaches. Middle East questionable deplomacy??

Much has transpired since I last posted. (1) Remember back on Novemeber 16, I posted little publicized massive explosion in Parchin Iran, 30 Klicks from Tehran fires incompassing 8 buildings. Now that is where Nuclear material was being processed along with Missle manufacture and platforms, I think....Wapo had an article on the 16 Nov. and according to google Little green footballs also had a writeup. The source was www.ncr-iran.org/content/view/4359/127/. I have not found anythiing else concerning this explosion,fire or personel injuries. (2)The conference in Annapolis which was a political disaster except for SA and Syria installing a Pro-Syrian General as president of Lebanon and (3) then most recently Washington has released a report saying we were wrong. Iran is not producing a nuclear weapon, they stopped in 2003.
Does any of this fit together at all???? Nothing seems to make any sense. Why are we appearing to strong arm our friends in Israel????Or is it more than appearance????? I have more question than answers and after reading blog after blog to get something of substance, I find nothing. The Vice Pres is much too vague...Bolton is as usual on target with his questions.. I understand, Fred Thompson is questioning the substance of the report also. France and Germany do not agree with the report as well as Israel..They want to continue with trying to push sanctions on Iran, That is France wants to whereas Germany is hesitant about it....I read somewhere,They, the germans, sent goods through the emerites anyway to bypasss the current sanctions on Iran..... The Clinton Campaign Headquarters in Rochester New Hampshire wss held hostage by an individual,Leeland Eisenburg, who stated he wanted to talk to Hillary Clinton. As he entered the building he showed a young girl what appeared to be a bomb strapped to his chest. She ran out of the building and into another store screaming that a man had entered the Headquarters with what appeared to be a bomb. There were hostages inside the building. After 5 hours and the release of his hostages he came out of the building and laid down in the road with his hands behind him ready to be handcuffed. The successful end of a very dangerous situation. None of the hostages were hurt. Obama and Roberts campaign offices were closed after notification of the problems. Kudo's to the Rochester Police Department and the New Hampshire State police for their professional handling of this Hostage situation with no guns fired nor anyone hurt.

A conference is currently scheduled for the last of this month, in Annapolis, Maryland hosted by America between Israel and Palestine. Other Middle Eastern Countries are invited to attend also. I hope that Israel isn't being thrown under the bus, but the US. I have a feeling that this administration wants more lasting legacy than what it has currently. We have been shunned by SA in the past and meetings were held by arab nations with the US not being invited. Rice has been trying to negociating so kind of lasting resolution, but to no avail. Now, what have we planned for our friends. I hope the Administration is not being short sighted???? What has Palestine ever offered in the way of a peaceful solution to the situation that was settled long ago. Anyone care to look at the League of Nations??? then broken by who????????The land in question was won by Israel in a War not brought on by them, but in response to armed intervention. Why should they then give it back after they won it through a just war of self defense. If that were the case....Lets go back to pre WWI and remake history drawing the maps as they were back then....Wow! Kurdistan would be a seperate country.....and so would others. I ask you does this make sense????Well then why should Isreal copitulate????
What makes all other Nations think OH! it's Israel so it doesn't matter they should give back all the territories and especially Jerusalem. I say Make Jerusalem, Israel's capital city. after all it was a Jewish City historically as was the whole area. God gave it to them centuries before Not the Arabs.....the Jeeeeeewwwwwwssssss.. I have had Random thoughts about a program I saw last night on Glenn Beck. During the course of his program he brought up the subject of Mexamericanada or better known as the North American Union, the merging of Mexico, America and Canada. The Elite thinking is that we will not be able to sustain against China and the EU if we do not come together. He stated that, and I'm paraphrasing, In 2006 high ranking military, American business elites, High Mexican officials and elite Canadian official held a high level meeting relating to a North American Union. No press was notified or invited and nothing has been leaked to the media about this meeting of some of the most influential individuals in all three countries. He also stated that the minutes of the conference could not be gained through the Freedom of Information Act because it was a private meeting and the members paid their own way and did not use any public funds. Talk about "connecting the Dots", this information, adding "Open borders" plus Law suits against such poverty fighting organizations as, the Salvation Army, for firing two Hispanics because they couldn't speak English and what do we get??????? The one calling it racist is the EEOC. A branch of our,,,,our.....Government, because of pressure from the Hispanic Community?????? There is a law currently going through the congress over this situation to protect the SA, but I don't think it'll come out the way it went in. Nancy is getting pressure to change it so,,,,,,,Amnesty cities where if you are illegal it's ok. Flying against the current federal laws.(breaking the laws of the land, if you will) we must stop this insanity The Dollar, in freefall is almost equal to the Canadian Dollar. Never in my lifetime has the Dollar been so low, (that I am aware of) Will we need the dollar if we have a new currency??

Last Tuesday, a massive explosion rocked the Parchin Missile complex 30km South of Tehran, as reported by an Iranian Rrsistance web. Looks like the State Department is looking at the Muslim Brotherhood for some answers???? Well, I think that's not the place to look. Egypt itself is reluctant to look at this organization and we in the US need to do it also. But our state department in Egypt has reached out to them. America's Stanch Allies in the War on Terrorism.

I just came back from reading a Blog titled American Interest. It is a blot that originates in Australia. I find his posts extremely informative as in today's.....He reports that and I paraphrase, Japan, one of America's stronger allies has withdrawn its forces and help in Afghanistan. It has happened. The refueling vessels that were stationed in the Indian Ocean has been recalled. I don't know the full story, but, It doesn't sound good. See "American Interest" for the complete story.
With all this anti-American feelings and Politics world wide. I think once Iraq is completed we should start to withdraw our troops from the world and start to take care of our own interests at home. I am quite sure both Germany and Japan, after WWII, are limited with the type military and probaby the number they can raise, by treaty. What thanks to we get from the World Body. A slap in the face, and not even a thank you. I'll rephrase that, I have read multiple times about Iraqi citizens thanking us for our involvement in that country. That being said. It's time to begin looking inward. We cannot continue to be the world police force with no backing from most of the world community.... I ramble......

Not my kid you won't! I say that now, but if this is allowed to continue Government will not only be in our bedrooms, but in our beds also....This situation, in my own humble estimation, is not only illegal, but flies in the face of parental responsibility or the lack thereof and they should be held accountable, not the school. It seems in the City of Portland, Maine the local school committee , after a public hearing is allowing birth control pills to be administered to 11 year old students, of course with parental permission, (to use the Health care facility, not permission for the pill, or shot, or patch, just the facility).
A little history is in order. From what I understand, a middle school nurse had 5 students out of 134 that was sexually active, which was an intolerable situation. It was determined by "the watchers" or whomever, The school in its infinite wisdom should exercise a parental roll and prove "it takes a village to raise a child." This blew me apart....God help this Nation.....They certainly won't help themselves. i just read a blog post from "Ace of Spades" concerning Wiretapping and the Soldiers kidnapped by insurgents or Al Quida In May of this year. Thinking to myself, self, what does wiretapping and easedropping have to do with the war and kidnapped soldiers??? Logical question, (so I thaught). Another article written in the New York Post,Titled "Wire Law failed lost GI" dated October 16,2007. also confirms this travesty of Justice... It was reported, and I'll paraphrase, While on lookout, 7 soldiers were attacked by Al Quida, of these 4 were killed outright and three were kidnapped. Immediately the machinery was put into action to rescue these three. They wanted to wiretap the terrorist cellphones, but because of the law they were forced to stop and set the wheels in motion for attorneys to get permission from the AG's office to allow this procedure. Setting up this process took 10 hours. A crucial 10 hours that possibly could have led to the rescue of these soldiers, Instead, one body was found later in the river and the other two never found, but it was reported they were executed and buried. Go to both sites to get a good read on this sickening affair. It is my understanding that the Senate or House or both are aware of this miscarriage of justice and still are going to continue this same wiretapping fiesco.

We have done it again. Alienating another nation. I know that Turkey delivered a message to Syria about the bombing in their country by the Israelis, the same day that it happened, but it probably was a planned event. Now the house committee has, in its infinite wisdom, against the administrations strenuous objections, completed a resolution at the time of WWI Turkey committed genocide against the Armenian population. This had been talked about since that time, I think, We did not condemn Turkey then, but now.....With much of our military supplies coming through Turkey to Iraq. That and Turkeys'economic ties with Northern Iraq. This could be disastrous.....Really, a lot of thought had to go into creating this mess..Just think of the ramifications!!!!!The Turkish US ambassador has been recalled to Turkey. We are waiting for the next shoe to drop...And believe me it will drop.

Hello Blog world. Ive been out of circulation for a couple of weeks, but I am back for a week or so.....
I have always heard this said that "money talks and BS walks". I have somewhat believed it, but not totally, until now. It seems that we have become a very legalistic society, that is everything is based on laws and the breaking of such needs a remedy. I am not sayiing that laws are being broken, What I am saying is that there ought to be a law for underminding democracy. In making these laws over the last 40 years, our much beloved, Supreme Court and left wing judges has changed the entire legal system, With the making of new laws, not interpreting the Constitution, which they were created to do. The majority of laws and changes are to the detriment of the public at large. I will rephrase that,,,It has caused the irrepretable damage to the nation as a whole. This has been a slow, but continuous grinding down of our individual and collective rights. Im not to good at explaining what has happened, but an editorial that was posted in the IBD, International Busness Digest Newsletter, on 24 September 2007 says it much better than I; when it come to making money talk to change laws and minds. you can find this post at http://ibdeditorial.com. I guess I am too use to the American Way.....visit blog...the "gates of Vienna" they have a rundaown on an organization who was not allowed to assemble on 9/11/07 to protest the Islamization of Europe. The police have arrested many people who assembled and others that didn't according to the post....The reason given by the Mayor of the city was that it might disturb some muslims.....Wow!!! getting bad, I guess

We use to have a two party system or so it was known even though we had the green party, and the independents. Now, I'm not so sure. It seems the Democratic leadership is leading them down a path of no return. Before Petraeous made his report to the nation. Their "moveon.org " people demonized an American hero. This is par for the course with this party. They do not like, nor have they liked the military establishment for many years. The American people better wake up and smell the coffee. The only reason they can breathe the breath of freedom, is because this establishment exists. The military has paid with their lives and reduction of their own individual freedoms to guarantee these thankless seditionist the right to express theirs.
Democrats, where are the Roosevelt's and JFK's among you. When is enough, enough??? When is treason, Treason????? Have we gone so far, that anything and everything is OK, except when it's politically incorrect, as in free speech??? This nation is morally, and spiritually bankrupt and we continue into the abyss.

The Attorney General has resigned

Well, it is as everyone predicted, the AG has resigned. He has finally, reached the point of total saturation. I cannot say that I blame him. He has earned every cent that this government can legally pay a servant of the people. He has been the whipping boy of the Democrats and the Mass media for many years and now as a former president said, and I paraphrase, they won't have me to kick around anymore......The shabby treatment he has endured, by the oversight committees is a disgrace to this country. Leastways, they have not run him out on a rail. He left on his own terms not theirs'. They wouldn't know a good man nor a loyal friend if it hit them in the A$$ (pardon the crassness).
When will they start on the last staff member; we all know it is coming. When will the other shoe drop?

More on Illegal Aliens

Well, Now the Appeals Court has chimed in on the side of the Illegals. It seems that once the illegals have come in they have to be evicted from the country and come back in to be considered illegal, or something to that effect. I can't understand the legal ramifications of this ruling. I do think it is time to rid our courts of bad judges or of decisions that go against common sense. If indeed, a law is bad. Im sure that there is another that fits the situation that makes it right. I do not see that happening. Judges are given latitude to make decisions and Im sure they can come up with something that is in the best interest of the United States when a justice deals with Illegal Aliens..What say you......

Watching the News last night, I listened to a report about towns that have passed sanctuary for illegals. Isn't this against the law, to pass laws locally or in states that try to negate federal laws. Seems like the tail is wagging the dog. What governmental agency is responsible for investigating such blatant disregard for Federal law. It is my understanding that local law enforcement cannot even call INS. This is crazy. If they don't like the laws of the land, vote someone in to try to change them, although I doubt if they will get very far in the present climate and Illegal Immigration, but they can try. I say the Federal Government should cut of all federal funding to this town or state until they come in line with our current federal laws. 'The Feds regularly cut funding on states that do not fall in line with their policies and laws, why not now???.

Well, change it is and by the end of the month Rove is out and I don't know who will be in......As I have stated in previous writings, The President doesn't have very many left of his original team. The only ones left are the Vice and the Attorney General. when is their turn. I heard last night on Hannidy, that new information on the outting of Plume has come to light. As I understand it, E-Mails that were previously classified, which have been declassified as a result of Scooter Libby's trial or investigation that preceeded it, written by her husband and also some sent by her,prior to her husbands trip. Hannidy also had a politician on to speak to what he will be trying to do. Like get both she and her husband in front of Congress again, Seems like there were some untruths being uttered in the chamber. Oh well, I'll believe it when I see it. When are the Republicians going to start speaking up???

They gathered this info from intercepted chatter. visit that site for the complete article. I have been away for a couple of weeks, but came back just in time to read an essay from"the Fjordman Report" posted on "gates of Vienna" It was an excellent article about what has bothered me for quite some time. In fact, I wrote an article a while back about Multiculturalism. I didn't do the analysis that was done in the article as written by Fjordman. I suggest that anyone who is interested in what is happening in Europe and to a lesser degree America to give this site a visit and read what I have described. I assure you it is a good read. I have been away for a few weeks and will probably be gone for at least two weeks more before I come back for a time only to be gone again......Nothing changes, unless it is my questioning my representation in Congress. Now it it my understanding the Dems are trying to block protection for people who come forward with concerns about people who seem to be doing thinks out of the ordinary, Wistleblowers, I think they call it. I hope people wake up and smell the coffee, realizing they are not being represented....Only special interests group seem to matter to the out of touch reps that we have in Washington. I am really disillusioned!!!!really!!!Who speaks for me???Who's watching out for my best interest and the best interest of my country....>??

"Scooter" sentence is commuted by the President

To my way of thinking it it still a travesty of justice but, the prison time 2 1/2 years has been commuted by the president. He could just as easily pardoned him, which he didn't. After all, he was convicted by a jury of his peers, who were not allowed to hear all the evidence. But it was OK, because it was justice and he lied. Of course, the wintesses couldn't remember anything either, but that's OK they were not being charge with anything... WOW!! He is still responsible for the $200,000 plus in fines and all the other parts of the sentence that was imposed on Scooter is till intact. It really burns my tail when I look at the prosecutor and how he manipulated the system to get anything he could, after finding out who the culprit was he still continued, which is where he went totally wrong, to my way of thinking. anyway, Scooter is now home to serve his probation, So is Sandy, OH! he didn;t get jail time did he and what was his fine??? $50,000??? Where is justice served???

I understand the Illegals do not like being turned down for amnesty?? In fact they are now threatening to disrupt the normal flow of economic activity in the US. That and any thing eles they can think of I guess. I do not understand the mindset of these Illegals..What don't they understand about breaking the law? I can understand the confusion they must be feeliing. We gave them everything, befor ewe started waking up to what was going on under our very noses. The congress is selling out their constituents without our even being aware of it. It even got to the point where name calling was done because we did not condone Illegal immigration. People we are a nation of laws. How many times have we heard this and this "The American People demand this or that." They are not representing the American people, they are representing the illegals. Well, maybe homeland security will do somethng about the threat to America being spewed currently.

Palestine shattered/Polititians assasinated in Lebanon

Hamas has taken over Gaza. After a fierce fight, where according to news sources prisoners were murdered after they were taken prisoner is over. Hamas came out the winner in this fight between factions of the Palestinian government. Abbas the president in The west Bank fired the Prime Minister who was Hamas and most of the Hamas polititians. Hopefully, he can make a strong enough West Bank to survive. Im sure the Hamas from Gaza will try incessantly to take ove the west bank also. They didn't do it alone. It is my understanding they got much help both in bodies and weapons and equipment from Syria and Iran who has set up shop with them in Gaza.

That coupled with the assasination of another top polititian in Lebanon. (I wonder if Syria was involved in this one also?) Another couple more killings and there will be a change in the government I think.....Syria can then set up their puppet with the help of their Friends again.... Blue Angels rebuffed!!

Seems as if people in San Francisco,California do not want the Blue Angles to be performing this summer. Seems fitting they have already done away with the junior ROTC's there. This is just another slap at the military. If I were the Secretary of the Navy I would remove the entire fleet to another location, say San Diago They at least appreciate what the military has done and continues to do for the individual American. I know they don't see it but, every time they spit in the military's face and yell absenities at them etc. The military fought for that right of freedom of speach. When another earthquake comes to destroy San Francisco, and it will, I hope they open the bridges so the military can get in to Help them out again.....

Seems like everywhere one reads about the present situation of immigration it leads to "something is rotten in Denmark"....I am talking about a stacked deck. The courts are hearing cases and passing judgement on illegals all over the country. Or it seems that way. Police can't do their jobs without being sued by Illegals who are being asked if they are legal citizens. Something is wrong with this picture. According to Michelle Malkin's blog

This happened in Mamaroneck New York. The police entered into a court approved settlement of paying over $500,000,oo in legal fees among other things. Read the entire story on her blog.

In other areas the police cannot ask if the person is legal or not. This is wrong and it is not racial profiling. When we have 12 to 20 million illegal aliens in this country and many committing crimes and having been stopped numerous time by law enforcement and not confronted about his citizenship status, this is wrong and not doing your job.

Only my opinion, but with the cards stacked in this direction and the President of the United States taking the stance that I am Not being American or other than an honorable one, I take issue with that type of statement and question where it's coming from.

Well, for the time being Senate bill S 1348 is off the table. Not dead!! they say, but I think they speak with forked tongue. If it isn't dead it should be. Michelle spoke to the present situation and the whole illegals' right on target when she was a guest on O'Riely's this evening. Bill could hardly control her. She tried to correct him and his 'we can't Kick out 12,000,000 Illegals." She told him to stop saying that about breaking up families etc etc. He then asked her if her neighbor was an illegal, working and not causing any problems, whould she turn him in. She said if he was breaking the law, which he was if he was illegal then YES she would turn him in....and so it went. I'm with her.

Illegal is Illegal and the congress is always spouting "the rule of law", "the rule of law." Well, they're breaking the rule of law so let us enforce the laws presently on the books and get on with it.

States, cities, or towns who have passed amnesty laws or provided sanctuaries should be cut from receiving Federal funds and states that have passed laws giving Illegals free medical care should be divested of Medicaid funds also...Only my opinion.... which really doesn't amount to much...

Scooter Libby sentanced--

Scooter Libby was sentanced today. He received a 2 1/2 year sentance with a $250,000.oo fine. This is about an investigation by Mr. Fitzgerald on a crime that he knew the answer too. In other words it was a non-crime, if there is such a word. The longer I live the scareier this country becomes. This country is more worried about a non-crime than it is about ratical Islam. I do not understand why this case was allowed to continue (I would think it would be illegal) once the person who outed Ms. plume was discovered. This nation has lost its moral compass, or at least it seems that way to me...
